The annual Elizabeth City Historic Ghost Walk is back for its 26th year on Oct. 11 and 12 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The family-friendly event is a combination of a history lesson, home tour and live theater that explores the town’s storied past. During the event, attendees can enter the doors of seven historic homes in downtown Elizabeth City where they will be visited by the ghost of an early resident and hear all about their lives and contributions to the community. Ticket purchase also includes access to a live show at Arts of the Albemarle. This year’s performance will feature an all-women cast that shines a light on “The Women of Betsy Town.”
