Folkmoot LIVE! is pleased to present A Latin American Musical Experience featuring one of Asheville’s newest and most exciting bands, Las Montañitas. Las Montañitas brings the Andes to the Appalachians. Their music draws heavily from the Chicha Cumbia scene that emerged in Peru in the late 1960s, featuring psychedelic surf guitar tone, Afro-Colombian dance grooves and Andean inspired melodies.
