The 27th Annual Wake Forest HerbFest will be held two consecutive weekends, April 24th-26th, and May 1st-3rd in downtown Wake Forest at 530 S. White Street. Hours are from 9 am until 6 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 10 am until 4 pm on Sundays. The Annual event will feature a wide variety of vendors appealing to those interested in gardening, home, cooking and a healthy lifestyle; food trucks, and the largest selection of organic herbs to be found in one place along with organic vegetable plants and perennials. Live entertainment on 4/26 and 5/3. Check website for details: www.herbfest.net HerbFest was originally created out of founders Bob and Elizabeth Johnson’s love of herbs. HerbFest originally evolved as a vehicle to draw visitors to downtown Wake Forest. Today HerbFest is used as a fundraiser for the Graham Johnson Cultural Arts Endowment (GJCAE), a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization which brings arts education and public art projects to local schools and the community. The GJCAE was created to honor the Johnson’s son, Graham, who was lost to suicide in 2006.
