Celebrating its 27th year, the NC BeachBlast Festival in Kings Mountain is fun for the whole family.
On Friday, August 21, kick-off the fun at 6 pm featuring Too Much Sylvia. In addition to their own popular hits, Too Much Sylvia offers music ranging from the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, Funk, Disco, and even some New Country, plus a few hot current Top 40 & Beach songs. The Carolina Beach Music Academy’s Group of the Year for four years was inducted into the CBMA Hall of Fame in 2019.
On Saturday, August 22, enjoy a full day of music and family fun with ongoing beach music, inflatables for the kiddos, games, a Kids’ Pavilion, Pirate Port, the Rotary Splash Pad, watermelon eating contest, swashbuckling pirates, the big Beach Ball Drop, and the third annual BeachBlast Golf Cart Parade. Food trucks and a beverage garden will be on hand, too.
DJs Johnny B and Eric Bowman and four of the hottest Carolina Beach Music bands in the Southeast will fill the day with just the right beats. The line-up includes Swingin’ Medallions, Castaways, Rivermist, Jim Quick and Coastline. Metcon proudly presents this full-day festival. Check the website for the performance schedule.
