This Month’s Issue: Fruitcake—Love It or Leave It?

In last year’s December issue, we ran a feature story about eggnog, and we were amazed at how divisive the topic was. We’re continuing the theme this month with a food tradition I’ve always loathed: fruitcake. I recently joked that a fruitcake my brother gifted me would be stored in the garage until I could find a use for it, although I may very well be in the minority. Also, we continue coverage of Helene’s aftermath  — please consider holiday shopping with a Western NC business.
