Pure maple syrup or artificial sweetener, to taste
Sea salt, to taste
Ground cinnamon, to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven on the high broil setting and move one of the oven racks to the shelf that’s the second closest to the top.

  2. Slice the figs in half, lengthwise, and place on a baking sheet. Drizzle with maple syrup, a small amount of sea salt and cinnamon.

  3. Broil for 6–8 minutes, or until juices are seeping out and figs are golden-brown around the edges.

  4. Remove from the oven and allow figs to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
