The Linemen of BEMC

Being a lineman is more than just a job, and more than a career. It’s a lifestyle. Being willing to drop everything and work all hours of the day and night, becomes second nature. When there’s a major outage, our linemen are eager to get out there and be a part of the solution, no matter what the problem is. And if a storm hits another cooperative, they are ready to pack their bags and head quickly into uncomfortable, hazardous conditions, where they are needed.

Being a lineman requires a strong mind and a strong body. They use the latest technology to troubleshoot and navigate our large and complex system. They take pride in the efficiency and accuracy of their work, because they want our lines to look good and to be something that the membership can count on for a long time. When they’re riding down the road and see a stretch they worked on, they’re proud that they were a part of making it happen. They’re proud of the quality of our lines and our system. And they hope that you are too.
