With an election year on the horizon, “Empowering Our Community, One Vote at a Time,” set the tone for this year’s Annual Meeting of Members. Members in attendance enjoyed entertainment by Three Peace Band, had the chance to win door prizes and ask questions about the many programs available across our service area.

In addition to the entertainment, our dedicated employees were available to provide valuable insights on a range of topics, including Co-ops Vote/Voices for Cooperative Power, Co-op Connections, community initiatives, energy efficiency, electric vehicles, solar energy and NC 811 “Call Before You Dig.” This year’s event featured special guest booths from ElecTel Cooperative Federal Credit Union, Carolina Country, Connect to Save, and NCEMC’s Innovation Booth.

During the business meeting, members re-elected the following directors: Winnie Bennett (District 3), Stephen Thompson (District 5), and Marcia Lambeth (District 6).
