Union Power’s College scholarship application is now open until March 1, 2025. Students from our five-county service area—Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly, and Union counties are eligible to apply. To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a child of a Union Power Cooperative member or live in a home served by Union Power Cooperative.
- Be enrolled or plan to attend a four-year institution or community college in North Carolina.
- Be a current senior in the graduating class.
- Meet the evaluation criteria of 40% need, 30% academic achievement, and 30% extracurricular activities in school, civic, and community functions.
