So far this year, members have contributed over $77,000 to support non-profit organizations in Anson, Montgomery, Moore, Richmond, and Scotland counties. Funded by members who round up their electric bills, the Care to Share program has provided more than $1.8 million in community grants since 2005.
“We proudly support local non-profits and emergency agencies through the power of giving,” said Taylor Demby, Manager of Marketing and Communications. Grant limits are $7,500 for first responders (every two years) and $5,000 for other non-profits (every three years). Pee Dee Electric thanks its members for their continued generosity and commitment to the community.
