In July, I provided you with an update regarding Union Power Cooperative’s need to expand operations to meet the demand of our growing membership. In October, after approximately two years of planning, the construction phase began. Site development work is underway, and we expect the expansion to be complete in the Spring of 2020. Our expanded complex will include:

• An office building
• Warehouse
• Fleet Maintenance Shop
• Vehicle Parking

During construction our current office will remain open and members will have access to our lobby and drive-thru window. Our subsidiary, Union Services, has temporarily relocated to 3016 Sardis Drive, off of Highway 74 in Indian Trail. 

In 2019 we will begin celebrating our 80th anniversary. The expansion of our headquarters is a crucial component in building a foundation for the next 80 years. As always, it is my privilege to serve the members of Union Power Cooperative.
