Union Power will award a $1,000 scholarship to 10 students from our five-county service area—Union, Stanly, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, and Rowan counties. Guidelines to apply:

• Students must reside in the home of a Union Power Cooperative member.
• Must be a senior of the current graduating class.
• Planning to attend a four-year institution or community college in North Carolina.

Applications are judged on the following criteria: 40% need, 30% academic achievement, and 30% extracurricular activities in school, civic, and community functions.

All applications are judged by an independent committee unaffiliated with the Cooperative.
