More than 1,800 animals reside in four different habitats: North America, Africa, the aviary, and the desert. The marvels of nature abound, from polar bears and alligators, to giraffes and lions, to Chilean flamingoes and golden-crested mynas, to Gila monsters and the ornate uromastyx (a lizard found in Africa and Asia).
