The emotion pours through this short but heartfelt performance, performed live by singer-songwriter Jonathan Byrd at The Kraken in White Cross, North Carolina. On this live version of the track from his new album, “Pickup Cowboy,” Jonathan is joined by Austin McCall on drums and Johnny Waken on electric guitar (who manages to squeeze in a few well-timed guitar solos). 

Jonathan was born in Fayetteville, and as he puts it: “My Granddaddy’s Granddaddy’s Granddaddy Was Born In Caswell County In 1795. Maybe We Go Back Further, I Don’t Know.” He was named one of the “top 50 songwriters of the past 50 years” by The Chicago Tribune, but you can still find him playing small local venues in North Carolina.
