Whitney Sessoms
Energy and Community Services Representative
Whitney earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications and a Master’s in Education from East Carolina University. She most recently served with the Center for Energy Education.
In her spare time, Whitney serves as a pastor and is also a licensed cosmetologist and makeup artist.
Her motto: “Have courage and be kind.”

Frederick Dunn, Jr.
Director, District 1
Frederick was appointed to the HEMC board of directors in 2023. He recently earned the Credentialed Cooperative Director Certificate through NRECA. On a personal note, Frederick has been farming in Halifax County for nearly 35 years. He is the proud father of his son, Landen, and grandfather to his granddaughter, Lainey.
