This is the 15th time a North Carolina tree has provided the White House Christmas tree, more than any other state (Pennsylvania is second, having provided 11). In 2021, Peak Farms, also a Blue Ridge Energy member, provided a Fraser Fir tree.

“Driving through our service area, it’s no surprise the White House found the perfect tree in Ashe County,” said Blue Ridge Energy Director of Public Relations Renee Walker. “It’s also a testament to the hard work which goes on every day from local Christmas Tree Farmers who do so much — not only to help fuel our local economy, but to spread holiday cheer throughout the region.”

Cline Church Nursery growers Amber Scott and Alex Church traveled to Washington, D.C., to present the tree, which is displayed in the Blue Room of the White House.

“We are honored to have the opportunity to represent the Christmas tree growers of America, by continuing the tradition of providing a tree to the White House Blue Room, which will be viewed by millions of people,” Amber said.
