Beyond the raising of funds to help the surviving families of fallen First Responders in Wake County, the scope of the event is to Honor and Remember the tragic day of September 11, 2001, and Never Forget the horrific attack on our Nation. Continuing to educate the younger generation of the impact and significance of 9/11 remains a goal today, tomorrow, and always. We will have a 1000+ pound steel beam from the North Tower, and a 4’x12’ banner with the names of all that perished that tragic day. This will be a moving and impactful component as we gather to honor and remember 9/11 and pay tribute to our First Responders. Continuing efforts to make this a memorable event to assure no one ever forgets and bring the community together to show support for our heroes.
