‘Horn in the West’ is the Nation’s oldest Revolutionary War outdoor drama, performed every Summer at the ‘Horn in the West’ Amphitheater located in the Daniel Boone Park in Boone, NC. Since 1952, the play has depicted the struggles of early Appalachian settlers, the famous frontiersman Daniel Boone and Cherokee allies fighting for freedom from British tyranny. The production is a major cultural event in the High Country. It follows the pioneer families, the Regulators, and the Stuart family as they navigate divided loyalties leading up to the pivotal Battle of Kings Mountain. Featuring live battle scenes, music and dance – Horn is great entertainment for all ages. The America 250 production opens June 26th running through August 8th, Tuesday – Saturday nights.
