Two internationally celebrated artists unite for a rare cello-and-piano recital as Cuban-American cellist Tommy Mesa joins Russian-American pianist Olga Kern at the North Carolina Museum of Art. Mesa is known for his charismatic, emotionally direct performances, while Kern brings dazzling technique, vivid stage presence, and deeply musical interpretations. Their program spans Beethoven, Debussy, Barber, Copland, Lili Boulanger, Adolphus Hailstork, and Andrea Casarrubios. Performances take place Friday, October 16, 2026, at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. in the SECU Auditorium.
