After welcoming more than 10,000 attendees throughout its inaugural weekend, the Uwharrie Bigfoot Festival returns Labor Day Weekend 2026 with major expansion at Camp Barnhardt in New London, North Carolina.
Now considered one of North Carolina’s fastest-growing themed festivals, the three-day event is inspired by the Uwharrie National Forest and celebrates forest heritage, outdoor recreation, and legendary lore. Attendees can enjoy nationally recognized Bigfoot researchers, live music, regional vendors, food trucks, and family-friendly activities including, monster truck rides, bounce house and slide, live mermaid shows, floating bigfoot, axe throwing, award winning chainsaw artist competition, Bigfoot call contest, zip lining, rock wall climbing, mechanical bull, primitive camping, lake access and so much more!
With expanded grounds and programming capacity, organizers project more than 10,000 attendees in 2026, further strengthening tourism and small business support throughout Stanly County and surrounding communities.
