On the Water

North Carolina’s rivers, lakes, sounds and beaches get a lot of attention this time of year, and for good reason. As the weather warms up, there’s no better spot to relax and cool off. The subjects we talked to for this issue have found even more of a reason to be on (or under) the water, which we’re happy to share. We’re also pleased to feature Gov. Josh Stein on our cover this month, who took time to discuss rural issues with us — you can find that interview here (as well as a nod to a favorite recipe of the first family’s here).
