In August 2017, Pee Dee Electric offered a new Energy Efficiency Loan Program to members. Fast forward to 2021, 74 loans have been closed to help qualified members improve the energy efficiency of their homes.
With the help of Pee Dee Electric, members can borrow funds from the cooperative and repay the loan through their monthly electric bills. Loans can be used for any of the following upgrades:
- Electric Heat Pumps (min 15 SEER)
- Duct Repair or Replacement
- Insulation – Ceiling, Wall, Floor
- Window and Door Upgrades
- Water Heaters (electric)
- Caulking and Weather Stripping
