Time-Based Structure
With the new time-based rate structure, electricity rates will reflect the cost of purchasing power, depending on the time of day. This may present opportunity to shift some of your energy use to off-peak hours, and reduce your bill. Members who can shift their energy usage to off-peak times can expect some savings, and will also be reducing peak demand, which lowers our wholesale power costs, and helps to maintain affordable rates for all.
Winter Peak Hours:
6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
October 16 – April 15
Summer Peak Hours:
2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
April 16 – October 15
Base Facility Charge
Increasing from $29.75 to $35. This adjustment is necessary to address rising capacity costs, operational expenses, and ongoing investments in infrastructure that ensure reliable service for all members.
