A Good Read: Mommy’s Big, Red Monster Truck

Author Alison Paul Klakowicz is a native North Carolinian and Army spouse who resides in Fayetteville with her husband and son. Her son, as it so happens, provided inspiration for her debut children’s book.

“When my son was a toddler, he was obsessed with monster trucks,” Alison says. “My home was invaded by tiny monster trucks, medium-sized ones and big monster truck toys. He only wanted clothing with monster trucks.”

The real-life mother-son duo would often joke about what it would be like to drive a monster truck, and this book gives some idea of just how much fun it could be.
