Serenity White attended the NC State Wolfpack Women’s Basketball Camp in Raleigh, while Jovani Freeman participated in the Carolina Basketball School at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Alongside more than 50 scholarship recipients from electric cooperatives across the state, they spent the week training with collegiate coaches and staff, developing basketball fundamentals, and experiencing life on a college campus.

The camps provide much more than athletic instruction. Campers stay in university residence halls, build confidence, develop leadership and teamwork skills, and form lasting friendships with students from across North Carolina. These experiences help prepare participants for success both on and off the court.
