The LG WashTower
Tidelanders, if you have WiFi-enabled appliances, have you downloaded the manufacturer’s app?
To the right is a look at the LG WashTower app. Note the energy consumption data. While the kilowatt hour (kWh) consumption is an approximation, it provides guidance in understanding a portion of your home’s energy use. A great tip is to compare the app data to your member portal data on laundry days. Note that the app’s energy use data does not include water heating costs should you select warm or hot wash cycles.
The LG app also provides helpful tips such as using the Energy Saver mode when outdoor humidity is high. Using the dampness detection feature year-round can greatly reduce dryer runtimes and is much gentler on clothes. There’s also a reminder to wash the lint filter every 15 cycles to remove buildup which can deter dryer performance.
