This prestigious distinction is reserved for those whose contributions have made an enduring impact and whose lives reflect a deep commitment to public service. Recipients are named honorary “Ambassadors” of North Carolina, and their achievements are permanently recorded on the official roster maintained by The Order of the Long Leaf Pine Society.
