Celebrate Community at the Annual Meeting

One of the highlights of our year is just around the corner! Pee Dee Electric’s Annual Meeting is almost here, and we can’t wait to connect with you, the members who power our cooperative. This special event is more than a meeting; it’s our chance to share, listen, and celebrate the community we proudly serve.

Mark your calendar for Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at the Robert L. and Elizabeth S. Cole Auditorium and Community Center, 1042 Hamlet Ave., Hamlet. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for registration, exhibits, and entertainment, with the business meeting beginning at 7 p.m.

Why you’ll want to be there

We’ll give you a quick update on the cooperative’s financial health and recent projects, plus you’ll have the chance to win fantastic door prizes, including nine $150 energy credits. And because this is our 85th Annual Meeting, one lucky member will take home an $850 energy credit!

A conversation about our energy future

The energy industry is changing fast, with new technology and evolving member needs shaping how we deliver power to homes, schools, and businesses. That’s why your input matters. The ideas, concerns, and priorities you share help guide the decisions we make for the years ahead.

Your vote counts

The Annual Meeting is also your opportunity to vote for board of director candidates. Our board is made up of ten members, just like you, who live and work here, ensuring that decisions reflect what’s best for our communities.

Investing in our community

Every time you pay your electric bill, you are investing in the place we all call home. As a cooperative, every dollar stays local, funding improvements that keep your power reliable and our grid strong. This dedication to local investment is part of what sets Pee Dee Electric apart from other utilities. We exist to serve you, not to make a profit.

We hope you’ll make plans to join us on Oct. 2. Come for the prizes, stay for the conversation, and leave knowing your voice helps shape our shared future. See you at the Annual Meeting!I’m proud to announce that this year, our Board of Directors has authorized the return of over $1 million in capital credits to members who received service during 1998, 1999 and 2000 (for those served during 2000, they will receive half of the capital credits allocated to them this year and the other half next year).

Unclaimed Capital Credits

If you see your name or the name of a deceased family member on this list of Unclaimed Capital Credits, please contact our office at (800) 992-1626.
