Lumbee River Electric Membership Corporation is proud to announce it has been honored with two prestigious awards recognizing its commitment to community service, partnership, and regional leadership.
At the annual banquet hosted by the Raeford-Hoke Chamber of Commerce, Lumbee River EMC received the Community Supporter Award, an honor that highlights the cooperative’s continued dedication to strengthening Hoke County through meaningful engagement, local investment, and long-standing partnerships.
The cooperative was also named Large Business of the Year by the Pembroke Chamber of Commerce, recognizing Lumbee River EMC’s role as a trusted utility provider, employer, and community leader across the region.
“These awards are especially meaningful because they come from the communities we serve,” said Tyler Oxendine, community relations specialist at Lumbee River EMC. “At Lumbee River EMC, our commitment to community goes beyond service—it’s part of who we are. We’re grateful to the Raeford-Hoke and Pembroke Chambers for celebrating the people and partnerships behind this work.”
Lumbee River EMC extends sincere thanks to both chambers and to all chamber members for their tremendous contributions to the county and region. The cooperative remains committed to being a strong community partner and continuing to support economic growth, local initiatives, and a strong future for the communities it serves.
