Every Shot Counts

Each summer, REMC helps two local students take their basketball game to the next level through the Cooperative All-Stars Basketball Camp Scholarship program.

This year, REMC was proudly represented by Jasiah Hill, who attended the Carolina Basketball School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Tessa Harris, who attended the Wolfpack Women’s Basketball Camp at North Carolina State University.

The Cooperative All-Stars scholarships cover all expenses for the overnight camps, giving middle school students the opportunity to train with collegiate coaches and athletes while experiencing life on a college campus.

Throughout the week, campers sharpen their basketball fundamentals, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and create lasting friendships with students from across North Carolina.

REMC is proud to support opportunities that encourage young people to grow both on and off the court, and congratulates Jasiah and Tessa on being selected to represent the cooperative at this year’s camps.

Each year, Randolph Electric Member Corporation (REMC) gives two local middle school students an opportunity to hit the hardwood alongside their favorite college basketball athletes and coaches, thanks to Cooperative All-Stars Sports Camp Scholarships. The application period is January 1 through March 31.
