The Stories Behind the Service
April 18 is National Lineman Appreciation Day, a time to recognize the men and women whose hard work keeps our communities connected every day. Our lineworkers take pride in their work, using their skill and dedication to restore power and help the members we serve, often working long hours in tough conditions. Their efforts make a difference in the lives of everyone in our communities.
To honor their commitment, we are proud to highlight four of our lineworkers here at REMC and share what inspired them to become lineworkers. Their stories show the care, courage, and dedication that go into keeping our lights on and our communities running smoothly.

In the 80-plus years that Randolph EMC has been in business, the cooperative still adheres to many of those same founding principles from the 1930s. We are still “owned by those we serve.”
