As a member-owned cooperative, your voice matters. The Annual Meeting is your opportunity to hear about the progress we’ve made over the past year, receive updates on the cooperative’s financial health, learn about projects and programs benefiting our membership, and participate in the election of directors who help guide Four County EMC.

Throughout the past year, we’ve continued investing in the electric system that powers our communities, strengthening reliability, improving resilience and working to provide safe, affordable and dependable electric service for every member we serve. We look forward to sharing those accomplishments with you while discussing the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Of course, the Annual Meeting is about more than reports and elections. It’s a chance to reconnect with neighbors, visit with our directors and employees, and celebrate the cooperative spirit that has been the foundation of Four County EMC for generations.

Registration

Additional information, including your official meeting notice and registration card, will be included with the October issue of Carolina Country magazine. Please bring your registration card with you to help expedite the registration process on the evening of the meeting.

The Meeting

The business portion of the meeting will include reports on Four County EMC’s operations during the past year, updates on the cooperative’s financial performance, and a look at the programs and initiatives that continue to strengthen service for our members and communities. Members will also vote in the election of directors.

Election

In accordance with Four County EMC’s bylaws, a Nominating Committee is appointed prior to each Annual Meeting to nominate candidates for any expiring board seats.

These candidates will be presented for election at the Annual Meeting of the members on Monday, Oct. 5, 2026.

Proxy Voting

If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may still participate in the election by assigning your vote through a proxy form. Proxy forms will be printed on the reverse side of your registration card included with the October issue of Carolina Country magazine.

Each residential member may vote in person and cast one proxy vote on behalf of another residential member, plus one additional proxy vote on behalf of a church, business or organization if designated as its authorized representative.

To assign your proxy:

• Complete the information on the back of your registration card, including the name of the person receiving your proxy.
• Sign and date the form.
• Have a witness sign the form.

Please note: Proxy forms are not eligible for door prizes.
