‘Life Couldn’t Have Been Better’

I’ve always loved lighthouses and horses, and we were able to see both, blessed with pretty weather! The Spanish mustangs were beautiful with a backdrop of the shore and ocean waves splashing the white foam. It was a trip I’ll never forget.

We ate, talked, played fun group games, shopped, walked up and down the shore in front of our ocean front rental, smelled the fresh ocean air, enjoyed seafood, watched the dolphins jump, and little crabs running up and down the sand. Life couldn’t have been better, except for when the little dog, Molly, got into sand spurs, but thankfully I had a pair of scissors with me to help cut them out of her fur.

[And something special happened] … my sweet father-in-law, Dan, who is now in Heaven, said: “There’s 10 of us,” every time we sat down at the large table to pray blessings over the meal.
