NC CEO Represents Co-ops on Capitol Hill

Roanoke Electric Cooperative President and CEO Curtis Wynn represented the nation’s electric cooperatives during July 19 testimony to the U.S. House Agriculture Committee.

Wynn used the opportunity to discuss the potential benefits of investments in rural infrastructure ahead of the upcoming farm bill.

“Many people in our region don’t have access to reliable internet. That puts our consumers, schools, hospitals and employers at a disadvantage,” he told committee members. “You have a great opportunity, in an infrastructure package, to make needed investments that will address our unique challenges.”
