Four County EMC proudly announces the completion of our newest electric substation near Hampstead, an important investment in the future of our members and the communities we serve.
As southeastern North Carolina continues to grow, this new substation will help meet increasing demand while strengthening the reliability of our electric system.
The additional capacity allows us to better distribute electricity throughout the area, reducing strain on existing equipment and providing greater flexibility during periods of high demand or system maintenance. For members, that means improved reliability, faster restoration when outages occur, and a stronger electric grid built to support homes, businesses and future growth.
Investments like this are part of Four County EMC’s ongoing commitment to providing safe, reliable and affordable power for generations to come

Four County EMC takes a proactive, standards-driven approach to maintaining our electric system to ensure safety, reliability, and resilience for our members. We meet or exceed industry standards for both construction and right-of-way maintenance through routine inspections, vegetation management, and system upgrades.
