Pee Dee Electric is strengthening its commitment to workplace safety by introducing the Rave Panic Button, a mobile safety application that helps employees communicate during emergencies and provide critical information to 9-1-1 and emergency responders.
With the push of a button, employees can quickly initiate a 9-1-1 call while simultaneously notifying designated personnel about the nature and location of the emergency. The system is designed to help employees and emergency responders share critical information quickly and efficiently when every second matters.
The Rave Panic Button provides one-push activation for multiple types of emergencies. Employees can select from five major emergency options, including police, fire, EMS, active shooters and other emergencies. When activated, the system can provide 9-1-1 with enhanced information, including the location, facility details and the type of emergency.
The technology also provides a map-based view of an emergency along with real-time status updates, helping employees and responding agencies better understand the situation and coordinate their response.
“Safety is a responsibility we all share, and having the right tools in place can make a significant difference during an emergency,” said Dustin Marsh, safety coordinator at Pee Dee Electric. “The Rave Panic Button gives our employees another way to communicate an emergency while helping ensure that important information gets to the right people.”
