It’s one of 14 tracks on his new debut album, “Atlas and his Flannel Coat.” His talent for poetic expression and captivating musical phrasing is also evident in other songs, including “Re: Christmas Song,” “The Singer Sung,” and “The Hennessy Prodigal Interlude.”
Daniel’s stage name is Nothing More Cruel and his musical passions are primarily indie-folk. In addition to bright acoustic guitar, the 18-year-old artist from Waxhaw (and Union Power Electric Cooperative member) plays harmonica on parts of his set.
“My music takes inspiration from artists like Mandolin Orange, Passenger, and Benjamin Tod, and Dermot Kennedy,” he says. Daniel is also a fan of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts.
