The Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary Partnership, which supports stewardship of natural resources, offers a variety of programs and initiatives for teachers. They include an annual teacher institute, the Shad in the Classroom partnership, a Citizens’ Monitoring Network and recurring grants to construct outdoor education facilities.
