How Does it Work?

Using this service is easy! If your power goes out and you have not been notified that there is an outage in your area, text “OUT” to 1-800-794-4423. You will get a message confirming your outage address. After confirming your address, you will receive a text stating that your outage has been reported.

During an outage, you can also reply “STATUS” to receive information and updates. To opt out of the outage texting service, text “STOP” or “QUIT.”

You can’t predict when an outage will happen, but you can be prepared.
