“We Power You” set the tone for this year’s Annual Members Meeting. Members in attendance enjoyed entertainment by Andy and Oneida Locklear, had opportunities to win door prizes and energy credits, and one lucky member took home the grand prize — a 2019 Chevy Silverado.
Members also had the opportunity to snap photos with our bucket and service trucks and learn more about the many programs and services available across our service area.
In addition to the entertainment and activities, our dedicated employees were on hand to provide valuable information and answer questions about community initiatives and programs, rates, solar energy and more. This year’s event also featured special guests representing the Awareness Committee, Beneficial Electrification, Voices for Cooperative Power, ElecTel Cooperative Federal Credit Union, NC-811 “Call Before You Dig” and E&D Enterprises (Generac Sales).
During the business meeting, members re-elected Paul L. Turner (District 1) and Richard H. Johnson (District 4) to the Board of Directors. Members also elected Mandy Robinson Taylor to fill the at-large east seat on the Board of Directors.
