The event begins at 12:00PM with vendors opening in downtown, Middle Lane, and the Beaufort Historic Site. At 5:00 PM, the festivities officially kick off with a cannon salute and a parlay at Eury Park, where tickets cost 5 doubloons per pirate, and children enter for free. Simultaneously, the Crystal Coast Lady will host a pirate ball dinner cruise. The parlay ends at 8:00 PM, at which time the vendors will also close. The day starts at 9:00 AM with vendors opening. At 10:00 AM, a cannon salute signals the event’s opening, as the public gathers for the invasion battle. At 10:30 AM, a pre-invasion drama unfolds at Eury Park. At 11:00 AM, Spanish pirates invade Beaufort by land and sea, capturing the town by 11:15 AM, raising their flags, and seizing officials. By 11:30 AM, the militia regroups to drive the pirates out, and at noon, they parade the captured pirates through the streets to the old jail at the Beaufort Historic Site. The day concludes with a pirate ball dinner cruise at 5:00 PM, hosted by the Crystal Coast Lady.
