Woosh! Ahh … the fresh summer breeze. My special place is Pamlico Beach. I can feel the soft grass brushing up against my toes. I can see far out into the light blue skies. I can taste hushpuppies and freshly cooked barbecue. I can hear the waves slamming into the rocks. I can also smell the fresh summer breeze.

Pamlico Beach is important to me because my family is always having parties there, and sometimes we bring out floats for the river. I like to swim in the river and swim in the hot tub with my cousins. Pamlico Beach is my special place.

I feel happy and safe there.
