The 2026 Annual Meeting of Members will be held Monday, Oct. 5, 2026, at 7 p.m. During this meeting, members will have the opportunity to participate in the election of directors to serve on the Four County EMC Board.
In accordance with the cooperative’s bylaws, the terms of the following directors will expire this year:
- E. Carlton Raynor, East Duplin
- Mary McGill Rose, East Sampson
- S. Franklin Williams, West Duplin
- Arlester Fullwood, At-Large
To ensure a fair and transparent election process, a nominating committee will be appointed by the Board of Directors. This committee will consist of no fewer than ten (10) members and will be appointed not less than ninety (90) days and not more than one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the Annual Meeting.
The nominating committee is responsible for preparing a list of qualified candidates for each district up for election. This list will be posted at least seventy (70) days before the Annual Meeting.
In addition to the committee’s nominations, any group of fifty (50) or more members may nominate a qualified candidate by petition. Petitions must be submitted using official Four County EMC forms and must be received at least seventy (70) days prior to the Annual Meeting.
The final list of nominees, along with the official notice of the Annual Meeting, will be published in the October issue and made available on the cooperative’s website. This information will also be mailed to members at least ten (10) days before the meeting.
All nominees will be presented for election during the Annual Meeting, where members will have the opportunity to participate in the voting process.
