An Eastern-style barbecue sauce, George’s has been around since 1975 when the company’s founder, George Stallings, cooked up a batch, sold it from his pickup in Rocky Mount, and ended up with a bunch of fans for his homemade concoction.

Today, Ashley and Brian Hassell continue to use George’s recipe to make the sauce in small batches at their production facility on the family farm near Nashville. The stand-out, bright yellow labeled jars are shipped to grocery stores statewide.

Reminds me of my Granddaddy’s.
