Williams, who has faithfully represented members in the West Duplin area, has played a vital role in guiding the cooperative’s growth and commitment to providing reliable, safe and affordable electricity. His decades of leadership reflect a deep understanding of the cooperative model and a strong dedication to the communities Four County EMC serves.
In honor of this milestone, Williams was recognized on April 8 at the Brighter Future Summit in Raleigh. The event brought together electric cooperative leaders from across North Carolina to celebrate innovation, leadership and long-standing service within the cooperative network.
Electric cooperatives are not-for-profit, member-owned organizations governed by locally elected boards of directors. Leaders like Williams help ensure that members’ voices are heard while maintaining a strong focus on service, reliability and community.
Four County EMC serves more than 33,000 members across Bladen, Duplin, Pender, Sampson, Columbus and Onslow counties and remains committed to enhancing the quality of life for those it serves.
