Davidson County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association Presents: Art in the Garden FREE Public Event Saturday, June 1 10:00 am – 12:45 pm Davidson County Agricultural Center, 301 E Center Street, Lexington, NC 27292 Parking in Back Schedule of Events: 10:00 am – 12:00pm: • Local artists will be painting and creating in various mediums throughout the Master Gardener Demonstration Gardens • Shared Radiance will give performances of song, music and dance every half hour • A children’s art activity will be offered • Master Gardener Volunteer Docents will guide and educate about the Demonstration Gardens • Baked goods and light refreshment will be sold Dempsey Essick, professional artist, bird lover, and teacher presentations: o 10:15 – 11:00 am Beginner Watercolor Class (preregistration required) o 11:15 – 11:45 am “Attracting Hummingbirds to Your Garden” o 12:15 – 12:45 pm “Becoming an Artist and Artistic Inspiration” For further information send a message at https://facebook.com/DavidsonCountyMasterGardeners/ Art in the Garden FREE Public Event Saturday, June 1, 10am – 12:45pm Davidson County Agricultural Center, 301 E Center St, Lexington, NC 27292 This is a free event presented by Davidson County Master Gardeners for garden and art lovers. Master Garden Volunteers will act as docents so visitors can explore and learn about the MG Demonstration Gardens while artists paint and create in various mediums throughout the gardens. Shared Radiance of Greensboro will give performances of song, music and dance every half hour. A children’s art activity will be offered and light refreshments will be available to purchase. Dempsey Essick, professional artist, bird lover and teacher will give three presentations from 10:15 until 12:45, including a beginner watercolor class (preregistration is required), “Attracting Hummingbirds to Your Garden”, and “Becoming an Artist and Artistic Inspiration”. The Public is invited to attend and just explore and watch or to participate in the activities. All are welcome!
