Spiked Apple Cider With spiced run and cinnamon schnapps
Inspired to put some apples to work in an (adult) beverage? Try this fall favorite with a little something extra. Serve in chilled glassware with a real cinnamon stick for a festive stirrer, or use mason jars and garnish each with the skewered apple chunks.
- ¼ gallon apple cider
- ½ cup dark rum (preferably spiced) or 50 ml of apple brandy, for a twist
- ½ cup cinnamon schnapps
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 apple peeled, cut into large chunks (optional)
- 6-8 cinnamon sticks (optional)
Mix together the cider, rum, schnapps etc. in large pitcher.
Add apple chunks to a small bowl and toss with lemon juice and then thread the chunks through skewers.
Pour into mason jars or chilled glassware and garnish each with the skewered apple chunks.
