15 Years of Service

“I view my service on the Pee Dee Electric Board of Directors as a form of community service primarily. As a director, I have seen the things Pee Dee provides to the communities we serve beyond just safe, affordable, reliable electricity. During my time on the board, I have been involved in regional economic development geared toward providing economic opportunities for our members and growing our regional economy. I have also had the chance to see the positive changes for community organizations through the Care to Share program and the economic development loans we have partnered within the communities we serve. The Bright Ideas program that supports area educators' grants is another place Pee Dee is positively impacting our communities. These are just a few of the things that Pee Dee is doing beyond electricity to help our members improve the quality of their lives and a primary reason I am proud to serve on the Board of Directors.”

“I am thankful and take serving as a member of the Pee Dee Electric Board of Directors very seriously as I believe I’m here to represent cooperative members. When making decisions that will impact the membership, I hope to ask the questions they would want me to ask on their behalf. As a board member with Pee Dee Electric, we must always provide our members with safe and reliable electricity at the most affordable rate possible. As a full board, we carefully make responsible decisions keeping our members’ needs always at the forefront of our decision-making.”

“I am truly thankful to serve on the Pee Dee Electric Board of Directors, an organization which has remained loyal to the core principles upon which the cooperative was founded. Pee Dee Electric is committed not only to providing reliable electricity, but also to improving the lives of our members in the communities we serve. Pee Dee Electric is relentless in its efforts to making our communities the best they can be, and I am honored to be a part of those efforts. Having lived in a rural area my entire life, it is my privilege to advocate for and represent my rural community. Although I have always held the co-op in high regard for their dedication to and partnership with rural regions, serving as a board member has further strengthened my appreciation for the cooperative by seeing firsthand the extent to which the cooperative supports its members. Thank you to Pee Dee Electric for making connections that go beyond electrical service.”

30 Years of Service

“As a member of the Pee Dee Electric Board of Directors for 30 years, I have learned much about the electric industry. This experience has helped me to set policies that will benefit the co-op as well as the communities it serves. I have also focused on economic development throughout the cooperative’s service area. With programs like the shell building projects and the Care to Share grant program, I have seen increased partnerships and watched the co-op evolve into a community partner. I am committed to using my role as a director to continue the economic development partnerships Pee Dee Electric has established throughout the years. I am very thankful to serve as a director on behalf of the membership.”

Part of the Cooperative Difference
