The disruption to the school year by the pandemic deepened everyone’s appreciation of our hard-working and dedicated teachers. In addition, the uncertainty of what the upcoming school year might hold is on the minds of teachers, parents and students alike. If you’re an educator thinking creatively about how to best inspire your students this coming year, consider applying for a Bright Ideas Education Grant.

Since 1994 Brunswick Electric has been providing grants for up to $2,000 for innovative classroom projects that would otherwise go unfunded. Last year, 29 teachers in Brunswick and Columbus counties received more than $31,500 for projects across all disciplines. Since its founding, the program has contributed nearly $800,000 to area teachers.

The deadline to apply is September 15, 2020, but applications received by August 15, 2020 will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Visa gift card. Our hats are off to all teachers, we appreciate your commitment to the next generation.
