Hazelnut Cocoa Brownies with Sea Love Sea Salt
When the occasion calls for something chocolate, gooey and salted—look no further. While brownies from a box work fine, brownies from scratch are the bomb ... and almost as easy as box brownies.
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 8 ounces (2 sticks) melted butter
- 1¼ cups cocoa
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ cup flour
- ¼ cup chopped hazelnuts
- ½ teaspoon Sea Love Sea Salt (more for sprinkling on top)
Directions
-
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour an 8-inch square pan.
-
In mixer, beat eggs at medium speed until fluffy. Add both sugars. Add remaining ingredients and mix to combine.
-
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40–45 minutes.
-
At about the 35-minute mark, take the brownies from the oven and sprinkle Sea Love Sea Salt on top.
-
Insert a toothpick to check that they are done. If it comes out with batter on it, try baking for 5 minutes longer. A clean toothpick means the brownies are baked.
